PCE-DD-D is a Shore D hardness tester or tester used to measure Shore hardness of materials like hard rubber, hard plastic, acrylic, glass, thermoplastic etc. This Shore D durometer uses an impact rod with a 30° conical tip and a force of 50 Newtons (N) to achieve a surface indentation of on specimens with a minimum thickness of 6 mm or 0 ,24 in. (Note: If the sample material does not meet the required minimum thickness of , the back of the specimen must be reinforced with material of the same type.)
